Each year in September, after several rounds of research and review, the City Council approves the annual budget to fund the City’s services. The fiscal year for the City begins on October 1st of each year. The City uses several revenue sources to fund these services.

As of 2022, Property Tax makes up approximately 37% of the City’s general fund revenues at a property tax rate of $0.413 per $100 assessed value. Sales Tax accounts for roughly 23% of the City’s general fund revenues and the rest of the general fund is funded through various fees, fines, and permits.
